Mirror on the wall, here we are again

Through my rise and fall

You’ve been my only friend

You told me that they can understand the man I am

So why are we here talkin’ to each other again

This post is inspired by a song by Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars, the few lines mentioned above has so many layers, that to understand it’s true meaning you need to look beyond the mirror in which you look yourself and beyond your sight what you look in yourself to vibe with these lines and thus to see the unabashed version of yourself. Imagine you have been given a mirror that could reveal the real you of your personality, would you dare to go for it? Would you dare to look at it?

The mirror on the wall is the only forever companion who never leaves you wherever you go, whatever you become, whatsoever situations you’re in, betrayed by whomsoever, they are our true friend standing firm with us through our every rise and fall and every thick and thin, whosoever is reading this you agree to it. Isn’t it? We always look for people to understand us, to listen to us, to talk to us but sadly we always end up talking to our mirrors because no one bothers to listen to us after a certain point and the only person remains with you is you. Recall that time when you had so much inside you, you wanted to puke it out to feel good but you stepped back and decided not to speak about it because of the fear of betrayal by people who are known for laughing at others miseries, making gossips out of it, how did you forget about your mirror, the only friend of yours as to when you cry, it never laughs. You have been through so much, be in love with the person you see in the mirror because that person deserves the most of you more than anyone else in this world.

Life is no less than a mirror you will get something for something here also. For example, pass a smile to your mirror it smiles back at you, points a finger towards it, will equally raise the finger back at you. Whom are you looking to compete with, did you not got him/her in your mirror yet? If not go now, find a mirror, take a deep look into it, and there you go. This is called a mirror technique which is no less than a confidence machine only if you do it the right way. In a matter of minutes, it can boost you up in the most magical way. All you need is a mirror and yourself. Stand firm with your head up in front of it, look into your eyes, take a deep breath, repeat positive verses in your mind even try talking to yourself which we also called the “mirror talk”, and don’t allow a single thread of negativity to cross your mind, you have to concentrate here a lot and then hold on it for few minutes, and in a matter of time, you will see the most powerful version of yourself.

This practice has a huge impact on many areas of your personality if done regularly. After that, you shall not need any motivation, preparation, suggestions, even experience for a fact. All you need is your reflection reminding you about all the positivity and integrity. The reflection of you in the mirror on your wall will heal you in the best way like no other. We all tend to ignore ourselves when injured and we lose our faith in ourselves imagine you being the strongest among all of them, do you still need anyone’s help to heal you from your sufferings. That is what the mirror is all about. It’s just about the one who needs to see it. Start with twice a day- right after you wake up and before you go to bed because these two are the times when our mind is perfectly synced and ready to absorb new things. The minutes upon opening your eyes your mind is in a vulnerable state, so the positive pledges you repeat in your mind while looking yourself in the mirror will take your morale to a deeper level. Likewise, the scene is before we go to sleep. Mirror Talk is all we need in our life, to heal our heart, to relax our mind, and thus to not rely on anyone.

Some famous quotes to live by:

For I do not exist, there exist but the thousands of mirrors that reflect me. With every acquaintance I make, the population of phantoms resembling me increases. Somewhere they live, somewhere they multiply. I alone do not exist. –Vladimir Nabokov

Whatever may be their use in civilized societies, mirrors are essential to all violent and heroic action. –Virginia Woolf

Look in a mirror and one thing is sure; what we see is not who we are. –Richard Bach
